Attribute Structure

Attributes are determined first by the character's race, and they'll start either as 0 or a negative number. For instance, an ogre starts with -5 n intellect, while a gnome begins with -5 in physique. This doesn't mean an ogre can't be intelligent, but they'll need to work harder.

The luck of dice rolls is the next determining factor, which brings us to attribute development.

Attribute Development

Attribute development during creation, and every class level beyond, is first determined by your character's race, then 1d6 dice rolls.

Players will roll a six-sided die (1d6) 9 times. After you roll, pick the seven highest numbers and discard the two lowest.

Next, you will assign each of these seven numbers to a different attribute slot in a repository. The attributes are:

Note:
Fortitude reduces the duration and impact of ongoing negative effects, such as; bleeding, poisons n venoms, curses n hexes, and other harmful afflictions, including after, if any (see resilience below), initial damage has occurred.

In contrast, resilience helps mitigate or prevent initial damage; if it fails to do so completely, characters will rely on fortitude to prevent that damage from continuing, preventing fatality.

Secondary Attributes

Secondary Attributes, known as Combat Secondary Attributes (CSA), are designed to refine combat by balancing strength and grace.

They come into play whenever a situation directly involves them, and does not cost vitality (in this case mana or stamina). These attributes modify attack and damage rolls by an amount equal to their score, ensuring that bonuses remain consistent and predictable throughout combat.

For example, if a character has a CSA in martial accuracy of 3, they receive a +3 bonus to attack rolls to hit.

Martial CSA and their tied attributes.

Martial Power (PHY): Boosts the damage of your physical strikes.

Martial Accuracy (ART): Improves your chance to land melee attacks.

Martial Speed (PHY): Quickens the pace at which you deliver melee blows.

Martial Crit (ART): Increases the likelihood of critical melee hits.

Spell CSA

Spell Power (INT) Amplifies the damage and effect of your spells.

Magic Accuracy (ART):Enhances your chance for spells to hit targets.

Spell Speed (ART): Reduces the time it takes to cast spells.

Spell Crit (INT): Raises the probability of spells producing critical effects.

Combat Secondary Attribute (CSA) Development

Combat Secondary Attributes (CSA) enhance a character's effectiveness in combat scenarios by providing additional layers of capability that complement their primary attributes.

Beginning at level 5, points allocated from the attribute repository may be allocated to the character's CSA Score providing that number's bonus to roll results during combat. CSA may not exceed the primary attribute's score and each costs 2 points.

Rules for Secondary Attributes are currently under development and their submission to the website are awaiting the final version.
